My Mental Health Is More Important Than Hustle Culture

Posted on May 25, 2021 by ayokatheblogger

Hustle culture tells us that we need to be obsessed with striving, especially if we are to “make it.” But is that true? I recently debated a friend on hustle culture. Long story short, she sees value in it, and I see it as toxic (for me and my needs). I’ll probably get a lot of flack for…

Gratitude

Posted on May 20, 2021 by ayokatheblogger

Gratitude is the expression of appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. Gratitude is practiced by showing and acknowledging appreciation. Ayoka The Blogger in a sun hat outdoors.

Hi! I'm Ayoka. I am a licensed Social Worker with over seven years of experience promoting client change and empowering mental health practitioners. I mainly blog about mental health topics and, when applicable, use it as an opportunity to help other mental health practitioners. As a Social Worker, I am professionally trained to provide individuals, families, and groups with the tools needed to facilitate change and address elements of their social conditions. This is accomplished by focusing on my client’s overall well-being and working collaboratively to help achieve their specific goals and attain greater fulfillment. I genuinely love what I do and created this space to share that with others. Enjoy.
